Select dates that work for your three “Start Here” classes now, then schedule your additional 5 sessions after Start Here #3 is completed. Your 1st purchase is for a total of 8 three-hour sessions*.

What is included in my purchase?
Your purchase includes a total of 8 three-hour pottery sessions. The first three sessions are the “Start Here” classes, which are required and must be taken on the dates you booked them. After you have completed Start Here week #3, you’ll receive a code that allows you to sign up for additional instructional classes and/or independent studio time for no additional charge. These sessions may be taken anytime a class or independent studio time is available for scheduling, as long as the sessions are completed within 60 days of receiving your 5-pack code.
Your purchase also includes 5lbs of clay that will be used during your three Start Here classes. You will learn about purchasing additional clay from us in your 1st Start Here class. There is no additional charge for firing or glazing.
What do I need to bring to my 1st Start Here class?
All you really need to bring is your patience and a willingness to enjoy the challenging-but-rewarding journey that is making ceramics. You could also bring an apron and a small towel ;) We do have aprons and toolkits available for purchase, but loaner tools are available and purchase is not necessary.
Can I reschedule?
You may not reschedule any of the three Start Here dates that you booked. You may reschedule your additional 5 sessions, as long as they are completed before your 5-pack expires.
I have pottery experience. Do I really need to take Start Here?
Yes. Start Here is required for all Mud Lily Makers.
What happens when I’m done with Start Here and my additional 5 sessions?
You can purchase individual instructional classes or independent studio sessions or you can save money by purchasing additional 5-packs that can be used for classes and/or indy time.
*Your Start Here purchase already includes a 5-pack. This is for when you’re ready for your next pack.
What about studio memberships?
Studio memberships are available as space permits to interested makers who have completed at least two 5-packs and who meet our studio use requirements.
When will you be adding more Start Here sessions?
We run ~three Start Here groups each month and the schedule shows sessions that will begin within the next 60 days.
Can I get on the waitlist for a full session?
You may add your name to our Start Here waitlist if an available date is full.
