Member Expectations

You don’t need to have advanced pottery-making skills to be a member, but you do need to exhibit stellar studio skills!

Maintain studio cleanliness.

  • Return all tools to proper location–no glazing tools out by the sink.

  • Collect all clay from drying boards.

  • Collect your personal tools, aprons, towels.

  • Wash clay bags and return/re-use them.

  • Leave sponges clean and free of clay.

Managing your own schedule without our assistance.

  • Schedule your visits for the correct session and time; avoid late cancellations.

  • Keep work circulating through the studio.

  • Exit the studio on time–1:30 or 9pm.

  • Requires an autopay from your credit card with a two-month minimum. Cannot be paused; if you cancel, the 2-mo minimum begins again.

Supporting efforts to improve the studio’s environmental impact and user safety by:

  • Being intentional about the work you put through the making process and moving work through the process efficiently.

  • Responsibly using clay, glazes, water, and other materials.

  • Clean as you go and before you leave--wedging table, clay station, work surfaces; floors, work surfaces (even handbuilding areas!) whether dirt is apparent or not.

Pay for all clay that you use and follow all glazing guidelines.
