What does Mud Lily offer experienced ceramicists?
Qualified experienced ceramicists may bypass our 5-week Start Here series of classes and begin working independently at Mud Lily. Approved experienced potters may book single independent studio sessions; purchase 5-session packs of independent time; participate in our community pop-up sales and other events; and, after establishing a history of success at Mud Lily, may apply for studio membership.
Is it right for me?
If you have previous studio experience and want to be part of our community studio (no production potters), you must apply and show that you are able to work independently, cleanly, and safely in a typical pottery studio.
How do I participate?
Interested experienced potters may apply anytime and applications will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Potters who are approved to participate may begin working at Mud Lily as soon as they have successfully reviewed/acknowledged our studio use guidelines.
What are the studio use guidelines?
Access to our guidelines and resources will be provided you you once your application has been accepted. If you have specific requirements, please ask about them before you apply for the program. In addition to other terms and conditions, experienced potters must agree to using our clays and only firing work that is done at Mud Lily. There is not an extra charge for firing or use of studio glazes, and you may use your own cone 5/6 rated commercial glazes.
What is the cost?
You must submit a $48 application fee. If your application is approved, you will receive a $48 coupon to apply to your 1st visit. For future visits, regular pricing applies: 3-hour independent studio session: $48 single/$198 5-pack. Studio memberships are also available to qualified candidates on a space-available basis. More membership information will be sent to approved applicants.
