One-Visit Pottery Experiences
Bring a friend or meet some new ones at our beautiful, open-air pottery studio—no experience necessary! We provide all of the materials and instruction for you to have a good time and create a piece in just a single session. Come back in a few weeks to pick up your fired and ready-to-love ceramic masterpiece.

Multi-Week Ceramics Classes
If you’re called to find a deeper connection with the craft of ceramics, we offer solid instruction; a safe, accessible, and well-equipped studio in one of San Diego’s most enjoyable neighborhoods; and support from a friendly community of like-minded potters.
Our 5-week classes (formerly known as “Start Here”) introduce you to key concepts and techniques if you’re new to clay, while experienced potters enjoy a refresher on the basics and learn how things works at Mud Lily. Includes wheel, hand building, glazing, and studio best practices.
New! 3-week Wheel Skills: If you’re drawn to the pottery wheel, you probably feel like you can never get enough guidance and practice. Same! So we designed this all-wheel offering to help you increase your knowledge and practice a lot in a condensed timeframe.
All of our multi-week options are small and instructional. Oh, and did we mention our off-street parking? :)
Mud Lily Welcomes Ceramicists With Previous Experience.
If you’re not looking for ongoing classes and you know how to move your work through the journey from creation to complete, ask us about how you can work on your own during studio time and/or book guided practice sessions to keep sharpening your skills with an instructor.
